OIP Administration

The Office of International Programs Administration unit (OIPA) includes the Associate Provost for International Programs and other OIP administrative staff. OIPA provides overall leadership and direction for the Office of International Programs and its constituent units; develops, supports, and organizes a wide range of on- and off-campus programming; supports faculty development through various initiatives; guides the development of institutional agreements with foreign universities; and provides leadership and advice to promote campus internationalization efforts.

Education Abroad

The Office of Education Abroad (OEA) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is dedicated to providing the most academically sound, cost-effective, and enjoyable programs available. It is our goal to establish, encourage, and promote education abroad opportunities to all of our students and to the community. Learn more about OEA and our programs and services.

English Language Training Institute

The English Language Training Institute (ELTI) provides intensive English instruction for international students planning to attend U.S. universities as well as for those hoping to improve their general English skills. We also operate a language support program for international teaching assistants and provide language assessment for prospective faculty whose native language is not English. Intercultural and Educational Experiences

The Office of Intercultural and Educational Experiences (OIEE) provides customized, short-term program for students, faculty, and professional groups. We offer a full range of educational opportunities, research, and cooperative relationships with the corporate, public, non-profit, and educational resources of the greater Charlotte metropolitan region. International Student and Scholar Office

The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) provides information, services and programs that help international students and visiting scholars achieve their individual educational and personal goals and that foster an appreciation for a culturally diverse learning environment in the larger University community. Office of Global Education and Engagement

The Office of Global Education and Engagement (OGEE) orchestrates academic and co-curricular opportunities to infuse global and intercultural learning for University constituencies and the Charlotte community. OGEE is a unit of the Office of International Programs that serves as lead in supporting the campus-based internationalization initiatives with an emphasis on global learning.
