The Office of International Programs (OIP), established at UNC Charlotte in 1975, strives to strengthen international education at the University as well as in the Charlotte community. On campus, it seeks to make international understanding and global awareness a fundamental part of the curriculum and an integral part of campus programming.

The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) provides information, services and programs that help international students and visiting scholars achieve their individual educational and personal goals and that foster an appreciation for a culturally diverse learning environment in the larger University community.

The English Language Training Institute (ELTI) serves international students by providing quality English language instruction in a safe and friendly academic environment. It is a member of the Consortium of University and College Intensive English Programs, whose purpose is to advance professional standards and quality instruction in US-based intensive English programs, as well as English USA, an organization that provides support, standards, and advocacy for intensive English programs in the USA.

The Office of Global Education and Engagement (OGEE) coordinates on-campus academic and co-curricular opportunities to infuse global and intercultural learning for the University and greater Charlotte community. OGEE serves as lead in supporting the campus-based internationalization initiatives with an emphasis on global learning.

The Office of Intercultural and Educational Experiences (OIEE) began offering short-term inbound programs in the Fall Semester of 1991. Since then, it has worked with numerous clients around the globe to deliver strong, outcome-focused programs. Program offerings include a wide array of academic and professional development topics, such as leadership, marketing, STEM, and language immersion.
