Strategic Goals

The Office of International Programs assists the University and the region in responding to the numerous responsibilities and emerging opportunities created by an increasingly interdependent world. Consistent with the University’s mission to promote a “robust intellectual environment that values social and cultural diversity, free expression, collegiality, integrity, and mutual respect,” its strategic goals are:

  1. Elevate awareness and importance of international education and cultural competency.

  2. Design and implement accessible, innovative and high impact international experiences to prepare students to successfully navigate in an increasingly globally interconnected world.

  3. Increase the number and scope of international research collaborations to support faculty and students in addressing complex global challenges.

  4. Strengthen the international student ecosystem to increase support to and engagement with international students and alumni.

  5. Strengthen OIP’s comprehensive and centralized international education infrastructure.
