Categories: Uncategorized

In an era of globalization, it is increasingly vital for individuals to gain a deep understanding of different cultures and countries. Recognizing the significance of cross-cultural exchange, the Office of International Programs organized an impactful Nigeria Country-Culture Workshop. This unique initiative aimed to foster cultural appreciation, understanding of the Nigerian educational system, and give faculty and academic advisors the information and perspective they need to better assist our Nigerian student population. The Nigeria Country-Culture Workshop provided a platform for participants to immerse themselves in Nigeria’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. Through interactive sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into Nigeria’s history, traditions, arts, linguistic and cultural diversity, educational system and cuisine. The workshop featured engaging presentations by UNC Charlotte faculty members originally from Nigeria and members of the Nigerian Students’ Association. The Office of International Programs hosts a Country-Culture Workshop annually as part of its commitment to and support of UNC Charlotte’s diverse campus community.
